Who (I Am)

You can find me at the intersection of people, technology, brands, and social impact.

I have worked with some of the largest brands in the world to help them bolster deeper connections with communities, drive measurable and scalable impact, and tell a differentiated story. From grassroots development work to building teams and running global campaigns, I have lived and breathed scale, sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation.

I have a deep passion for education and have spent nearly 20 years helping to drive education outcomes, with focus areas spanning higher education, arts education, girls’ empowerment and leadership, STEAM, and supporting underserved communities.

I’m a storyteller, a teacher, and a lifelong student. I’m an optimist. I’m the child of an engineer and an artist. I’m the product of a Memphis childhood and a New York City training ground. I have a weak spot for pitbulls. And I love a good to-do list.

What (I Do)

I have spent 8 years at EVERFI helping to build and scale its “Impact-as-a-Service” model which companies leverage to deliver education to communities large and small. Together with 3000+ U.S. and Canada-based customers, we have educated over 40 million learners on key critical skills missing from the classroom, such as social-emotional learning; financial literacy; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and career readiness.

In my current role I sit on EVERFI’s executive team and oversee a team of over 50 account management professionals responsible for ensuring that EVERFI customers are maximizing value and business impact through their programs. A few of the many incredible partnerships that my team has put together are highlighted below:

Prior to EVERFI, I led account management teams in some of the world’s largest advertising agencies and helped to build breakthrough, award-winning marketing campaigns for major consumer and global brands. Some of my most favorite projects from the ad world are:

  • One of automotive history’s greatest marketing taglines

I was fortunate to work on the advertising team for a car brand with one of the most loyal and devoted fan bases, sometimes called the “anti-brand brand” - Swedish auto-maker SAAB. My team created the “Born From Jets” campaign which drove year-over-year sales gains of 34%+ and was called “one of automotive history’s greatest marketing taglines.”

  • Relaunching the brand that revolutionized air travel

In 2000, JetBlue brought humanity and optimism to air travel. But in 2008, on what is now known in the company as “2/14,” a winter storm paralyzed flights at New York City’s airports and set off a massive crisis. JetBlue engaged us to create a new message that reinvigorated confidence and the love for the airline. The “Happy Jetting” campaign drove a first year revenue gain of nearly 20%, and was irreverent and a ton of fun - watch the case study to see more!

  • The world's first democratically elected awards show jury

I spearheaded a pro bono awareness-building campaign for a non-profit advertising awards competition, the ANDY Awards. Partnering with JWT’s Chief Creative Officer, we created a campaign across 6 continents that sparked debate on the changing role of communications and advertising. I also helped run an art auction featuring the work of Shepherd Fairey (creator of the Obama “Hope” poster) that raised $50,000 to support rebuilding of New Orleans' Lower 9th Ward after Hurricane Katrina.
